Tulip Face Lift

  • Consultation: 30 min
  • Procedure: 1-2 hours
  • Recovery: 7-10 days
  • Duration of results: 5-10 years

A face lift is usually a major operative procedure. It is designed to remove excess skin and fat in the neck, jaw and lower facial area. Dr. Rahimi has developed a new mini facelift which is less invasive, safer, and more effective than most conventional facelifts. This facelift is called the Tuliplift.

This revolutionary mini face lift procedure can be done under local anesthesia or with mild sedation and as an out patient. Most patients can return to work in 7 to 10 days. In order to rejuvenate the face the Tuliplift Facelift can also be combined with other procedures such as blepharoplasty, chemical peels, and laser treatments.

Still Not Sure? — Read our Q & A

  1. Is the Tuliplift Facelift the same procedure as the Thread lift or the Feather lift?
    • No, the Tuliplift Facelift is an actual mini face lift which provides more natural and longer lasting results. Unlike other procedures, the Tuliplift actually excises excess sagging skin, removes fatty deposits from the neck and jowl area, and tightens the underlying tissue and muscle. The more recently-popularized Threadlift does not excise any excess skin or tighten the underlying muscle. Our trademaked Tuliplift can last for years, without making you look pulled or wind blown.
  2. How long has Tuliplift Facelift been around?
    • I developed the Tuliplift Facelift about 6 years ago- I have refined it over the past few years to make it even more effective and safe. It has several components: liposuction of excess fat in the neck and jowl area, tightening the neck with plication the neck muscles (platysmal plication), tightening the skin in the horizontal and vertical direction with the Tuliplift petals, and volume restoration by replacing the lost fat with the patients living fat tissue (we have a state licensed tissue bank in the office). I also typically perform a laser or chemical peel a few weeks later to fade the scars.
  3. How much does the consultation cost?
    • The consultation is complimentary. Please bring pictures of yourself from 10-15 years ago.
  4. How long is the recovery from a Tuliplift Facelift?
    • The next day you may walk around the house, read a book or watch TV. Sutures are removed after seven days and usually by day 10 you can resume work and social obligations.
  5. What about my safety concerns?
    • Safety is the most important thing to me. Patients want to look natural and have a safe procedure. Most of the time when you hear a terrible story about cosmetic surgery it is about anesthesia. General anesthesia has many inherent risks. I believe that almost all cosmetic procedures can be performed under mild sedation and local anesthesia. Bleeding will stop. Infections can be treated. Unsightly scars can be revised. But when people don't wake up; they don't wake up.

Talk to a few of my patients and you will soon realize that these procedures, especially the Tuliplift Facelift, can be done with mild sedation and local anesthesia. This significantly reduces the risk of complications from anesthesia, and nerve damage. It also reduces the recovery time.
